hoping for that visitor‏ Phil Wegener 10/14/13

The black necked stilt hasn't moved south from White Rock to Blaine yet but we are still hoping. You can see the birders and photographers near the white rock on the beach with a scope from Blaine. There was however another Lapland Longspur at Sandy Point Sunday about 3:30pm. This morning I also saw a group of geese flying in to land on Lake Whatcom right where the Britton Rd. meets Northshore Dr. One goose was much smaller so I went to see if it might be a cackler and it was a Snow Goose
