Oiled bird ?‏ Doug Brown 11/22/13

When I saw this Red-breasted Merganser this afternoon, I thought it was some weird plumage or a hybrid. 
After a look at the photos, I have to think that this poor bird has come into contact with heavy oil.
It was seen on Semiahmoo Bay, off shore by the eagle trees.

BTW ... the female Mountain Bluebird is still there.
