General Membership Meeting with Joe Meche: Winter Birds of the Salish Sea :::
The Salish Sea is considered by many to be one of the world’s most biologically rich ecosystems, and is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. The number of birds that utilize this vast area in winter can at times be staggering. The moderate, ice-free marine environment provides ample food, while sheltered bays and inlets offer protection from winter storms. Surrounded by glacier-clad peaks and fed by free-flowing mountain rivers and streams, the Salish Sea is a stunning example of the best that North America has to offer.

Join local writer/photographer Joe Meche, as we explore an area that is closer and more accessible than you might think.

Memebership Meetings... always on the 4th Tuesday of the month
