Winter Raptor class with Bud Anderson Sue Cottrell 12/4/13

World-renowned raptor expert, Bud Anderson, will again teach his famous class on identifying characteristics, behavior and life-cycles of raptors. The class begins in January with five weekly classroom sessions, then a full day field trip on the Skagit and Samish flats. This is one of the greatest places in North America to watch winter raptors. Bud lives in Skagit County and has been studying raptors for more than 40 years.

Many people find this class so engaging that they take it over and over again. Here is what some participants from the January 2013 class have to say:

"There are few people on the planet who come close to Bud Anderson's knowledge of hawks, eagles and other raptors. If you appreciate the out-of-doors you should spend some quality time with Bud. It will literally change your life." H. L.

"I guarantee you will never be able to look at a hawk on a fence post the same way again!" C. K.

"I loved Bud's sharing so much information and know-how about these creatures he has been engaged with for decades...really a love story." J. C.

"The field trip alone is worth the price of admission!" R. B.

The Bellingham class will meet 7 - 9 pm on Thursdays, January 9, 16, 23, 30 and February 6 downstairs in the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth. Field trips will be arranged during class.

To register, mail a check for $175 to FRG, Box 248, Bow, WA, 98232. Include your address, phone number and email address. For questions call Bud at 360-757-1911, or email at falconresearch@gmail.com. Or contact Rand Jack: 360-592-5169, randfjack@gmail.com.
