This lone Surfbird was staying in the company of about 25 Black Turnstones at Semiahmoo spit. The only other ones I’ve seen before in Whatcom were on the island rocks in Chuckanut Bay.
The Mountain Bluebird could still be seen driving back down the spit in the same general area.
