A flock of about 40 Dunlin were quite active along the rocks between the Youth Sailing dock and the Boathouse - much foraging, bathing, preening, peeping, and poking one another for rock rights. They were fairly oblivious to people and dogs on the sidewalk right above them, and to boats passing by, but a Belted Kingfisher swooping down over them sent them into their own swooping and swirling unison flight a couple of times. There were at least 40 Barrow's Goldeneyes as well, in the inner part of the harbor. Pat Buhl
